TUI Airways, formerly known as Thomson Airways, is the biggest travel company in Britain with a fleet of 63 aircraft taking off from 22 UK airports.
TUI had a specific need to develop Safety Management Systems Training, which would be suitable for three different user requirement levels.

AMI Learning were recommended to TUI by another airline and were looking for a Safety Management Systems training provision to be applicable for all office staff across the company. AMI Learning had an existing product, but TUI required it to be customised to be appropriate for the three target training groups.
This product was created whilst the internal Thomson / TUI rebrand was happening and AMI Learning were therefore using yet to be released information and branding within the system development. It was an important part of the requirement that the system provided would have the new TUI logos and style.

AMI Learning firstly agreed with TUI a training needs analysis matrix, specifying which subjects were applicable to each of the training groups. These were separated by job role and effectively the three products had some common required content, some content that was customised per audience and additional content not present in the other requirements. The associated quiz questions were also adapted to the specific content and training groups.
The original courses were created in a casual style consisting of media, animation and interaction. All were fully rebranded and and included bespoke slides for Tui's specific culture and requirements.
We provided the end training product as three SCORM compliant courses that were ready for loading onto TUI’s own LMS system and provided under a perpetual licence so that they can use the training on an on-going basis.
Since the initial release of the courses to TUI we have also provided them with a Tin Can (xAPI) version.
